Just got back too. Had a great couple of days, chatted with Chris and co from CSK (ta for the CSK ovals ), DJ Hutton (very nice chap) the guys from Landy glass (gotta get me some of their wares) and a few others. Bagged some bargains and extra goodies, and did the off road course. Great weather and a much better show than Billing. Good to put faces to names and nice to meet fellow forum members.

I didn't go to the show due to a training course sat and mountain biking with mates sun but Bear100 above went out of his way and bought some winch rope for my 110 at lro show and met him today at bike park Wales where u was at and dropped off the rope and paid him the cash I owed him, top bloke with a stunning 10 plate utility! Definately a new friend made even if for ten mins and I was plastered in mud! But then some of u know that's nothing new for me!! 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

So glad to be home and in the shower! 1 last night and 1 this morning! So that's Peterborough facilities explained
Great show on the CSK stand, much banter and meeting forum members or people that were initially met at Billing. This show seemed a lot 'better' than Billing in many respects (bar the facilities) and a much better atmosphere all round. Brandy's and Hot chocolate on Friday left me with a dry mouth all Saturday and then 2 free meals on Saturday left me with a great Sunday experience.....Chris putting the biggest boyish grin on Appolusadude's face with a TD5 tune up, was great to see, and then get all my cleaning work dirty at the end by taking the 110 through the offroad course which we had fun with.........I will not mention the Skrote in the 90 behind me on L plates and his severe lack of driving ability but apparent ability to comment on my Defender and ageist remarks. Great weekend and my best experience so far. Looking forward to L2B =================================== Steve 90 xs sw in Stonoway Grey - Sold 110 USW X-TECH |

I went along just for the day yesterday and thought it was a good show - more along the lines of what I would call a 'real' show. Thank god there was no duck herding or stunt bikes 'yawn' but there was a Bowler Nemesis powersliding around the track - amazing! Biggest dust cloud ever from the Nemesis on the track.
It was good to pop in regularly to the 'build tent' and watch the progress. The only down side was not managing to buy a single thing on my list! I usually use the shows to buy parts so I don't have to pay postage and wait in for deliveries. But none of the traders had what I wanted - well on enquiring the standard response was 'we haven't brought much stock to the show' Last time I went to the Peterborough show ( a few years ago now) they had a big autojumble, maybe Old Sods Sortout, and that was great, but shame the second hand stuff there this time seemed to just be the usual tat not worth anything but scrap yet with silly prices on them. All in all a good show though. Even some decent catering (pizza oven!) and not just greasy horse burgers. |

I thought it was okay, at least it didn't rain, but believe me I was seriously unhappy when some clown running a coffee stall fired up his generator at 6.30am, then gave my mate a load of abuse when he was asked to turn it off.
Nice selection of vehicles about, off road course was good fun (see pics on my vehicle thread) 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

I need to have a word with Mr Killer90 about that, I think I am going to need surgery to rectify my face - haven't yet stopped grinning! One word for it: "Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" |

Some of the things I liked from Sunday. Not many photos taken as I had the little dog in tow.
The Kahn wheels are growing on me: Click image to enlarge but then I saw how the towing brackets had been put on: Click image to enlarge Stylish 130: Click image to enlarge Nene at their best/worst: Click image to enlarge I like HD wheels, so to see six at once: Click image to enlarge Wanted to go to Billing but didn't make it, so interesting to hear the comparisons posted above. I also managed to get a few things off my shopping list and also some things I wasn't planning on getting! Good job the gf walked off when we started talking money... Interesting chat with the man from Patriot regarding their racks and the gauling/corrosion issues. He mentioned a new(ish) 15 stage process that went on the bars before painting but i can't remember what he actually called it; & also they were looking at some new plastic inserts that may prove another route to solving the issues. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

briiliant weekend on the Mobilecentre / Irb / Sense of Adventure stand...we never even had the DO YOU DO LED BULBS question for a change...quite a few booking in for IRB mapping, so we've got a busy diary upto Xmas..can't see the point of doing them at show, revving the engine to see if its blowing black smoke, whats all that about......never mind...
Loooking forward to the new show season next year with more going on in Europe. Putting Dreams on Drives at JLR Solihull.. |

Ada, what do you mean by that? Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
