Come and sit in the gladdis street end with all the die hard scousers and compare them to your average rugby fan. You'll see who's the hard nuts haha! Cheers, David

The Mighty Bantams.
(but in reality I have little interest anymore and Rugby is a much better sport to watch) |

Kinda had a feeling it would go this way....
Wrong shaped ball, bunch of over paid fairies, real men play rugby and drive land rovers blah blah blah..... So, David to give you some support on your thread on, what I do believe is the national sport still... Swindon Town for me. Season ticket holder and proud of it ![]() Have to admit, I'm not a big fan of premiership footy. Lower league/non-league stuff more fun to watch from the touchline IMHO Out of interest, anyone doing the telegraph fantasy football league this season ? Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Arsenal . come on you gooners.
I also manage an U10 side and the school football team. Of course if rugby was really that good the best players would be paid more......... |

Life's too short as it is without filling it with crap like football.
It's a pure waste of time. People complain about "fat cat salaries" (i.e. bastions of industry who create - or at least try to create - jobs and wealth for the country) then support overpaid over-egotistical morons at the weekend. If it were grass-roots I would maybe have a modicum of interest (i.e. Sheffield United players actually lived/born/worked near Sheffield), but it's pure business, which people follow their "local team" even though by-and-large they are far from local. to support this thoery; Hearts of Midlothian (IIRC) were almost entirely Eastern European players...what's that got to do with supporting your "local team". Yet the lemmings wander down there every week and cheer for "Hearts"....it's nothing to do with your "local lads" taking-on players from another town's team... Oh, and who cares about the "WAGS"... for goodness sake, get a life. utter tosh for people with no real life [now that'll put the cat amongst the pidgeons I guess ![]() |

I'm an F1 fan myself. I'm not gonna bash football, I just don't understood the appeal. Like most things it's each to their own I guess. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful

The once mighty Luton Town for me. Season ticket holder too (yes...I do get called to ask what time I can get there so they can kick off...). Went to Rugby for the first time this year - England v Italy at Twickenham... far too much stopping and starting for me to make it interesting enough to want to go more, although drinking a pint in my seat was a whole new experience. Cheers,

![]() ![]() ![]() They couldn't even pay me to go to a football match when I was working for a living. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to ![]() Richard |

Only sport I like is off road racing and the IOM TT.
Leave football to the fairies, but I'd do it for 300k a week. Not bad for 90 mins work. |
