David,

Do you have ANY bolt holes?

I just remembered that I have a Front Qt wrap around Diff guard for sale- brand new and never fitted- I got it for mine but then found a Southdown axle guard and fitted that. If interested let me know.

If you have NO bolt holes at all your options are things like the ARB diff pan (from Devon 4x4)- About £200+. Gwyn lewis weld on... About £50..... But both of these options will require the old pan removed and then the new one welding on.

Clamp on......... Personally I have been running mine for 4 years and never clouted the back (but did the front guard on many occasions)...... But then again I was trying to get an excuse to upgrade the rear diff. I am doing that now so will be getting a guard.

Nope, no bolt holes! Strange eh?

Front diff guard sounds good! Will it fit mine? How much do you want for it?

I could probably cope without rear diff guard tbh! Cheers, David

Hi David, not so strange ... my 2011 doesn't have the bolt holes either. And some other people on here have reported same.

I have a QT rear diff guard sitting around here ... might install it anyway, should be reasonably secure even without the bolt holes. (well at least it won't fall off). Might not give the full protection it would give with it bolted up the way it is intended to be, but still better than the thin plate on there now.

Without any fixing on the nose of the diff, isn't there a real danger of the front catching and creating a bending moment around the upper fixing. May end up acting as a plough?

How much do you want for the front one Glyn? Assume it doesn't need any bolt holes? Cheers, David

Hi David,

I will dig it out and double check it fits Rover front axle. It bolts to the top 2 diff studs and then to 2 holes in the bottom of the diff housing.

How does £30+postage sound? (Prob about £5)

Sounds perfect! If you could get back to me with fitting info or a pic or whatever, I'll get under the car and double check.
