Was it located under the cubby? That's the EGR ECU. Cheers, Vincent

Mine is probably not more than a year yunger than yours if that and the only ecu I have is for the egr. Mine is skrewed to the bottom of the centre seat but the harness runs from under the acsess panel so it could well be yours has dropped down. Possibly. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Martin- I did wonder what it was at first from a distance! A black box hanging from the underside of my vehicle, not suspicious at all

I had the same on mine, it's now in the bin along with the EGR valve, have you taken your EGR valve off yet? it makes a lot of difference

Yep, EGR was removed a long time ago! The ECU for it is soon to be binned off when I get a spare 5 mins An engine to TDi for!
