Is that drooping wings or revving up? I've given up with the droopy wings, for the hassle of getting it sorted I will live with it for now, factory/dealer answer seems to be "they all do that sir". 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

I met a chap the other day with a very modified off-road Puma 90, and we got chatting about my planned trip to Portugal. He had diff guards fitted to his which seem to be a good idea. I *think* they are QT ones, I know it included a bit that protects the steering arm, and they just bolt to the diff - is QT the right ones? He said they were about Ł100 for the pair. I don't do crazy off-roading but don't really want to break a diff a thousand miles from home... 2011 110 USW

Don't give up on that , I had mine sorted at first service and are now perfect - Westovers said 'I'm sure we can sort that out for you ' it doesn't look so sad now. I'll probably have it given a thick layer of going over before the warranty runs out next year (and if I can keep tabs on Jezza :p)
By the way did my mrs contact you about a t-shirt? 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Cracked 400000 miles in France this week. No major issues to report. Did about 850 miles or so over three days. Averaged about 31-32 mpg which is a little disappointing as that was with doing an average 95kph the whole time. Stopping and starting for stupid road tolls probably didn't help. 2011 110 USW

I'm guessing you mean 40,000 miles rather than 400,000? Darren

Thankyou David.
I was a bit dissapointed with 31-32 as I have had better than that in the past, although that was with driving at 90km rather than the 95-100 I was doing in France. I suppose with the extra weight of luggage etc it would bring it down a bit. That said, I think the European fuel quality is perhaps a bit higher as well which would help. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

What mpg do you get normally? Ie around town etc.. I get normally 25/26 but I'm pretty heavy footed! Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

I don't tend to run with a full tank for local work so hard to tell, but I would imagine it is somewhat less than what I get when on a decent run. Mid-High 20s maybe? 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

I had my 110 at Peterborough show this weekend, I wonder if anyone spotted it? I was there to show my IIA 1-Ton really but the 110 performed flawlessly as a tow vehicle and so I treated it to a spin around the off road course. The 110 really made it effortless, only had the TC kicking in once. The only negative is that somewhere around the course my grille badge fell off! The backing is still there but the badge is nowhere to be seen...can anyone sell me a new one please?
I stuck to the green route as I didn't want to cause any damage but did venture into one of the shallower red route water runs "only up to the bottom of the doors" says the marshall. Thats why it was upto the top of the wheelarches then! Agh! That said, no problems, it was pretty clean water as well not deep mud. Photos coming shortly. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |
