I've been looking around for a suitable EMS for a TD5 90 auto. So far the leading contender is this one...
http://www.landyonlineretail.co.za/shop/sh...gory_id=24 The trouble is I can't find a UK or European distributor and haven't had any luck emailing them yet. Has anyone got a source for them ? If I go with this one I'll probably get two so I can add some extra sensors for turbo pressure, fuel pressure etc... If I end up buying from ZA, if anyone else is interested in putting together a group buy, PM me. For reference the current exchange rate is between 13 and 14 ZAR for 1GBP so the prices aren't as scary as they might look at first glance http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

I was wondering about MudStuff as a possible source, the place in ZA that sell the EMS also sell MudStuff parts so one avenue I will pursue is to contact MudStuff. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/

From what I remember when I bought mine, there was a Uk company that had previously sold these, (not sure - may have been X-Eng?) but there were supply problems.
I got my turbo boost sensor from http://www.etbinstruments.com/ Landyonline did not have these sensors in stock at the time. |

I believe X Eng used to supply these. Why not pm Si and see if he can supply the system? His username is SimonR

Having been reading through the tech specs it seems they use VDO sensors. At least that means the sensors and adaptors are easy to get hold of here. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

I have 1 of these fitted to my 90. Excellent for keeping an eye on things but then you can very easily become paranoid and end up gauge watching. And worrying about nothing. 110 D250 SE HT

what year is your td5.
If it's one of the later ones, you can do all of the engine monitoring with an android app / table as follows: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic21616.html?highlight=android |
