2.4 Puma vs TD5 Exhaust System
Apart from the obvious at the exhaust manifold end is there any differences in the 2.4 Puma exhaust system compared to the TD5?
I.e. would a CAT back TD5 exhaust system fit a Puma? $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

From what I am aware of is that the hangers are different..... but that is all.

When I bought my exhaust from Alive (about 3 years ago and my memory isn't the best). It was the Td5 one, but had Tdci hangers that bolt onto it.

I am guessing you have been offered a cheap Td5 system?

I haven't been offered anything but there is a marked price difference and the TD4 systems don't seem to be so readily available as the TD5 one's. Don't get me wrong there are plenty but you see far more TD5 one's often for significantly less cash. Why though I don't know as often the SS used is the same grade. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Tailpipe has the same part number (Td5 & Td4 90), centre box is different number though.

My centre pipe is a TD5 one although bought as a TD4 fit it was actually a TD5's all the same I thought I'd give it a go and it does indeed fit all be it slightly out on the hangars side of things. None the less it's fitted securely and doesn't put the rest of the system out.
As I mentioned I didn't buy a TD5 straight through on purpose but there we go done the trick all the same. At least the standard "lump of iron" is out of there anyway. Shocked $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
