With the F2, the first 'lock' puts perimetric on, the second 'lock' puts volumetric on too. You should always lock twice with the F2. When you lock it the second time, you should hear a second "thunk" a bit like a deadlock activating. HTH One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Thanks for posting, blackwolf. We slept in the car a month or so ago and couldn't work out how to disable the internal alarm, ended up wrapping the sensor in a rag so we could get some sleep.
Could have done with your post back then. |

excuse me for ( ) going off-topic ...
you say you have two dogs in the car. Why would you need the vehicle´s alarm then ? joking aside - a policeman told us decades ago that whatever human built can be touched by humans. A dog is not acting "predictably" by thieves, so the dog might be more deterrent than Lucas. |

Bump, because this is an extremely useful tip -- although having the alarm go off scares our dog so using the lock-with-a-door-open-to-disable-volumetrics trick is a bit awkward. 2009 110 XS Station Wagon
