I'm really sorry to hear that.
I've lost a couple of close mates under similar circumstances (one died on a motorbike, the other survived a horriffic motorbike accident only to die in a car crash several months later). One of the lads from the bike club is serverly injured from a 130mph accident, and now has very little quality of life left even though he's still "alive".
