Puma X' over mounting
I have some X'overs to fit for each tweeter on my Puma. Where have you other chaps that have aftermarket tweeters fitted your's on Puma's?
I was thinking of mounting on velcro so they are removable if required & there isn't really anything else there can be zip tied to except other wires and that's just a mess and not a good idea IMO.

Ideas welcome. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

sticky pad tucked up into the dash sorted , in likely to need the removed but velcro pads are certainly going to do the job just the same

Good to hear. Just thought I would ask as inside info is the easiest and quickest. Wink I was mainly wanting to check there was a flat surface each side with enough room. No doubt there is. A few consumables to get on with and I can fit then. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Anyone thought of using the seat boxes as sub enclosures?

This is sort of related... I use 3M vercro pads for most things these days. Just fitted the noise-reduction module inside the dash using them. Stuck like glue Thumbs Up
Results after it's wired in tomorrow Confused Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Ze - that was the sort of stuff I was thinking of using myself. Wink (Oh and good luck)

Shaun - Off Topic But if you want to discuss it try in the "Definitive Defender ICE Thread"
Personally I can't see it being any good the seat box would have to be air tight which is easier said than done. The front on the seat box is relatively small, an 8" may fit but the internal volume would be much to large. Vulnerable to damage by boots etc as well. The lid is too thin again air tight issues and seat clearance also an issue. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

my 8" jl sub is located in the top of my cubby box, and the amp inside. the lid is screwed down and the insides filled with accoustic quilt. i have put a 8" sub in the rear face of the cubby box but i was never as happy with the sound.
the speaker has got a metal grille on the top to protect it from elbows and my 3 year old son walks over it without problems.

Thumbs Up

FG - If your Amp is sealed in how's it going too keep cool? Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Ken - I shall look into that I've got some velcro at the moment so I'll try that but if it doesn't work out I'll try and get some of that.

Haven't had the chance to fit my new tweeters yet I'm too busy and more importantly the weather is very un-predictable. Unlike some of you my 90 has to stay outside. Sad $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
