Good day today! Other half took kids to Kent to see her Dad, K9F decided to stay home. Decision made to go fossilling for a couple of hours, everybody else decided to go fossilling too by the looks of the amount of people on the beach.
Options open: Go home and sulk because it is your beach and nobody elses! What are they doing there is such weather anyway? Pretend you've found unexploded ordnance in the clay beds from the war and evacuate beach. Stuck with it and found lots, shells are Gastropods and Sharksteeth all 38-45 million years old. Just in case anyone's interested. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Love going fossilling in the Winter months, blows the cobwebs away and you're right MM it is exciting when you find something. These were located the opposite way to Lyme and Charmouth from Bournemouth.
I never bother in the Summer months as the tides aren't the same and the beaches are picked clean by the tourists. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
