Not sure if this is any help but they're getting some good publicity in the news at the moment?

I would suggest a couple of phone calls may confirm if its an option or not. It would be nice to think with your equity there's plenty of options.

good luck.

I recall when I had the exact same problem with Landrover finance that there was not very much sympathy on the forum...all rather sad. I almost died of appendicitis and they were ringing me up non-stop even though they had been told right away when it happened...I am also of the view that these kind of firms do use opportunities like this to make a sting, and sadly are usually unwilling to help. When you think about it they usually bend over backwards to get you to sign, often bending the rules and making allowances, but when its the other way around they don't want to know and either stick rigidly to the rules, or if that won't work for them they just make up new ones. Parasites and vampires the lot. I don't earn enough to even be considered for a mortgage (actually its more to do with deposits, I would have no problem paying the monthly). As an employed person the lack of sick pay (SSP is a joke) is a serious concern.

RD I hope you are able to find a solution, hopefully with another company. 2011 110 USW

Set up by the Government to offer independent advice. Got to be worth a call to see how they view things.

Got a solicitor on the case and he has a affordability questionaire coming from the bank to fill in. The arrears are ready to be paid in full then we will see what other criteria they will launch at me.
Thanks Buddy. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Probably wishful thinking but would be nice to think solicitor is from someone on here and isn't going to charge a fortune as is almost expected these days.

don't expect you to answer this as hopefully someone on here is helping on the qt.

just hope it all gets sorted plainlessly.

"Parasites & Vampires The Lot"?
Hello from Australia....Gotta disagree with you on that one.
I worked in a Bank for 40 years, mostly in the Credit Control "Collections" area..monitoring / collecting monthly payments/arrears etc. And I'll tell you something, we never screwed ANYONE..... unless they deserved to be screwed.
Of course there are bad companies, good companies, good & bad people, but to tar everyone with the same brush is simply not on.
There are ALWAYS two sides to everything....you wouldn't want to know some of the stuff we had to put up with...Lies, false statements, hiding cars, leaving addresses without notice...I could go on forever. Could we help those sorts of people?..NO..'cause they couldn't help themselves either.
But if someone had a genuine case, was upfront with us, communicated with us, told the truth, had a strategy to repay, AND KEPT TO IT,.....we'd help 'em...EVERY TIME.
Like I said, there's always two sides.
Cheers, Pickles.

Though I do believe you should help if you can, and certainly banks are big enough to do so, I just wonder how I'd feel if I loaned money and did not get payment for 6 months...

Like pickles said, there's always 2 sides.

I'm a nice person and if I was in a position that I could help out I certainly would. If I felt I was being played, I can become very tough. What I'm trying to say is, if you come into problems, always inform those who are affected. You'd be suprised what happens.

Last I had some serious issues with a supplier not delivering the service promised resulting in a lot of my clients having serious communication issues. I kept them informed every step of the way and only lost 1 client becouse of it. Though I always treated that tiny client the same as any of my (also) huge clients, he did leave. Personally, in the long term, I believe that client will be worse off, but business wise a new client already made up the difference and then some.

Be open and honest in business and you create loyalty when you need it. Having a mortgage is a business deal in my opinion.
