Very snazzy in a classic way Thumbs Up

I also tried to go for something that looked "classic-OEM":

It's only a Raid, in leather with the leather centre, but it's very comfy for resting elbows on door/cubby etc. and it doesn't look out of place IMHO.

Where can you order one of these?
Thanks

Guys just wondering how the smaller wheels affect the 'drivability'. Is it still light so I am able to turn the wheel rapidly with my palm when in a car park or reversing a trailer??

I drove into the city this morning and in my sleepy state the big old wheel with 50 turns lock to lock was a bit of a pita in the tight street and car park! A 350mm mono or similar is a pretty well priced mod.

Yes, with deflated tyres steering through & over mud & rocks? Whistle

Would LR waste money on big steering wheels, if they weren't needed?

What about oblong wheels (which give more space between lap & rim)? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

I take mine off when I park so small is best;

But not in red, mounted upside down to give a good view of instrument, and with a steering knob mounted in one of the switch holes.

You can't get much smaller and it works for me. The knob makes fast turns when manoeuvring a breeze.

Feel free to shoot me down when you like.

I have a momo 350mm which is great and no noticable difference when handing while parking etc. BM52

Pics
Big wheels

I'm rubbish at pic posting, pm me an email address and I can send you one. If you want to post it for everyone's benefit that's fine with me.

Just remember, I never go off Tarmac, not sure I would want to resist the kickback from a highly rutted surface however I do quite a few road miles and seldom on motorways.

Fitted a Raid 360mm one from Brendan at Leeds. See his picture bottom of page two or page three for the RH one. Works great and feels right. When greenlaning it allows me to get in and out without fighting the old wheel.
The feel of the leather is much better than the LR one.

I'd recommend getting one off of Brendan ASP.
