I know this may be a long shot but an acquaintance had a similar problem with his Range Rover and Disco about twelve months ago and he was not very popular with the villagers in which he stayed during the week as he was living a couple of miles away from the carpark in which his car was parked.

He would park whichever vehicle he was using and set the alarm, next morning annoyed residents would be ringing up due to the alarm sounding all night, reset alarm checking all windows, doors and checking for stray flies and spiders. The same thing would happen the next day and so on until he got a short but to the point letter from the local authority about noise pollution. The dealer he used replaced all wiring and Alarm systems to no avail.

It turned out after all to be a residents WI FI that set the alarm off each time they turned it on or off. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Having spent the last couple of weeks locking the car manually. I tried using the key fob again and for the last couple of nights it's behaved impeccably.

As you don't have an internal sensor, why not try removing the screw holding the drivers door light switch, pop it out - this will stop it working.

Use the shaft of a screwdriver to effectively 'close' the door by pushing the lock latch in.

Set the alarm with the door open using the remote.

Wait 30 seconds or so for the alarm to set and then try wiggling the rubber pipe that leads from the door with cables in.

Sorry missed this topic since being back for holiday.

This is exactly what mine was doing. Alarm random sounding. No internal light issues and not volumetric sensor. But would always unlock when it sounded the alarm. I discovered it was the central lock actuator in the drivers door. Visit to the main dealer £25 handed over. Been great since

I know this is an old thread, but my alarm went off last night. Interior lights on and lots of noise. Sad

5 mins of checking and removing 2 spiders, one of which was walking over the sensor and all quiet again Smile

At least this was at 20:15 and not 02:00 Bow down

Well it's been over a year now, and having done exactly nothing to resolve the issue all would appear to be good.
Started locking using the remote again, just to see and the alarm has behaved impeccably.

I know this is only slightly related but a while ago I randomly kept getting double-horn sounds when something (Scangauge, remap box etc.) was plugged into the OBD port. I gave up trying to fix it and after a while it just stopped. It seems the 10AS/ECU just spazzes out sometimes but learns from its mistakes... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
