Zahy how do you find the dark tint on the rear windows? Im trying to decide on what percentage to go for. What percentage is that?

thanks for the kind comments, on the rear Windows i went with 80% dark and with the current wave of heat i must say it did keep the cabin temperature under control with the AC not on full, will worth it, it took the tinting company almost a full day to do the rear windows ( the side sliding one are apparently so tricky) worth the money and if you drive a black or dark colour defender i guarantee you it will look awesome (especially if you fit BF Goodrich 285 Mud terrain. eye catching with many taking pictures ) 2.2 90 XS |

Yes they are a must especially on my santorini black 90 but Im having trouble finding anybody to do the tints, i know a few people who are very good but they will not do it. They say it will take a full day and they will never be perfect so they dont want to puttheir name to it. Plus they wont even attempt the roof glass unless it is taken out.
Are you happy with the fitting of yours? |

yes extremely happy professionaly done, i did not do the roof glass you wont need it the as the rear dark enough. try this company they are nationwide they give life time guarantee ( so who cares if they need replacing i ) http://www.ultimatetinting.co.uk 2.2 90 XS Last edited by zahy on 19th Jul 2013 7:27pm. Zahy did your windows come out? I spoke to the ultimate tinting guy local to me but he wont touch it. I never thought that I would have this much trouble getting them done.

I had my 110 and my wifes' Freelander done by a local company last year. It took them an hour to do the Freelander and then about six hours to do my 110! They removed the alpine lights and rear door glass but everything else was done in-situ. It cost, from memory, £600 for both. Darren

not sure why they wont do it! i can PM you mobile no for the guy who did mine ( same company but in Brighton ) he can put you through the head office who am sure can speak to your local fitter, the only thing he did not do was the front window and roof glass he wont touch as he was worried to crack them, but the rest was done without removing any glass !! let me know if you want me to pm ( he also works sunday so you can bell him tomorrow ) thanks zahy 2.2 90 XS |
