You're probably miles head of me, but have you spoken to TrailerTek in Micheldever? Good guys to deal with and I'm sure delivery or a forum relay could be sorted out?

How about one of these?
www.towbag.co.uk They are brilliant for storage when not in use and more robust than they look!! |

Thanks for your helpful replies - yes I'm aware of TrailerTek - trouble is, a new one with locking lid, jockey wheel, etc. is £800+, which is more than I can justify spending for the limited amount of use it will get. I've not spoken to them, but I don't think they'd be discounting as much as I'd need them to...
The Towbag looks like a good solution to storage problems, (though maybe less secure on the road?) - but I was surprised to see they are as expensive as the Brenderups, so again I'd be looking 2nd hand. I've watched a few Brenderups go through eBay, so I'm aware of the prices they fetch, I'm on the look-out for a decent one that's not 200 miles away. But thought it worth a punt on here too - you never know who might have one (or knows of one) that's surplus to requirements. ![]() |

And the smaller Indespension ones, which I think are re-badged Erde's anyway. Darren

I sold one earlier this year, super little trailers, mine had the hard plastic lid with gas struts, well worth looking out for. I paid £500 for mine on ebay and was "as new" and sold for the same, this is probably not the best time of the year to pick up a second hand one.
(Sold to fellow forum member) good luck with the search this one looks ok, needs a lock - ebay item http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271235554430 |

Yes, I looked at Erde - it's just they have small wheels - I think the larger wheels on the Brenderup should look & ride better behind the Defender (I'd have a sankey if I had the space!).
Bpman - yes your D2 ad comes up in a search - that's why I thought I'd add a Wanted on here! Shame I wasn't in time for yours - it's just what I'm after, and was the right price. I'm watching that one on the bay - looks like there's damage around the missing lock - may have been forced, seeing as it's already nearly £450 (and will probably go for more) and I'd have to repair it, I'd rather wait (& pay a little extra) for one that's good to go. There's a nice one ending today with a flat top & gallery that I would have gone for, but it's 150 miles away and the reserve is already slightly over my budget - add £80 for fuel and it's just a little over priced. Maybe you guys can advise me (I'm not really eBay savvy) - the one I mentioned above that I like currently has no bids, and ends in a few hours - it doesn't mention ONO, and of course someone may place a bid before time is up in which case I can forget it - but is there any point in contacting the seller to make an offer slightly below his reserve (in case it doesn't reach it)? Or is that not the done thing? |
