Can't see why it won't fit
The bars that Surport the rack in the gutter are shorter compaired to SW wagon but the rear of the rack is held up by the ladders these either fit to top of tub and could be adapted by cutting off bit that hooks over or by the rear cross member if they are full lenthg so will do the same job.
I guess longer gutter bars are available so you don't have to use ladders if its cheap enough get it It's good to be back from the dark side

Who told you that it won't fit? I would have thought that it would fit fine.

Certainly the (very similar) Patriot rack is the same regardless of model. I have a full-length Patriot on my DC that came off a SW. With the Patriot all the mounting hardware is interchangable, and assuming that the Hannibal is similar parts are available I would have thought if you bought two extra pairs of gutter-mount legs to use at the rear it would be fine.

I don't understand Sparkylee's comment that the legs are different lengths on the DC and SW - they are certainly the same on the Patriot rack, and the roof height is the same on a DC and SW, so why would the legs be different?

It's the length of the bars that are shorter on the DC one compared to the SW as they only reach over the 2 doors not the height that differs
But yes I've always thought if I change from DC to a SW I'd keep my rack It's good to be back from the dark side

Ah, OK, I understand now!

On the Patriot rack for an SW, there are four leg assemblies, each consisting of two actual legs attaches to a long bar which sits in the gutter, ie, two assmblies (four legs) per side.

The DC standard version has two leg assemblies (one eash side), each assembly consisting of 3 actual legs attached to an even longer bar to sit in the gutter.

On my conversion, after discussion with Patriot, I have SW front legs and a single individual leg on each side, which works just fine.

On that basis it should be possible to fit a Hannibal DC rack to an SW, provided that you don't mind muying some extra legs and don't mind the result being non-standard.

Thanks for the extra info, Sparky!

If the Hannibal rack has twin ladders supporting the rear then won't the offside one foul the spare wheel if it's on the door? I guess it would work without the spare there, but that'd be pretty unusual, so that's probably the basis of being told it won't fit. Darren
