The bigger intercooler is not needed on the autologic tune, the inlet temps and flow rates of the standard intercooler is fine for this application.
It wont add any extra power fron just adding the intercooler. You may want to consider a Decat front exhaust, this will help the turbo spin up faster and free up the whole system. Regards Pete |

Do you supply Decat front exhaust for puma defender ? If is how much work involved in fitting it ? Was also considering removing the EGR valve as it made a noticeable difference on my td5 90 ! N |

Hi Yes i can supply a decat front pipe for this model,The cost is £90inc + postage. Fitting the front pipe is not hard work realy, you have to remove the cross member 8 bolts, front prop from the diff 4 bolts, and a few for the pipe its self. Normaly takes about 1hr. I have the blanking plates made from stainless steel that block the egr, these are £10 + postage. Fit in 20 mins. Regards pete |

I have the de-cat exhaust and the middle box replacement straight through pipe on mine and it goes so much better than standard. I bought my exhaust bits off a compatriot of Petes and very impressed I am to!
Just do it Nidge, you won't regret it one bit  .
EGR Blanking was necessary for me, but not every truck has the same problem, I would do it in readiness for when the EGR plays up  2019 MY Disco 5 HSE Lux

It will be the exact same pipes then 
Here is a picture of the prototype i made on the Allsiport car when i was developing the tuning for it. A bit rough round the edges, but bare in mind it was the first one so i could have a patern to provide to the manafactures to make the final product from. Re the EGR, there are manymany with problems and even down to Ford having the EGR valves on back order because they have fitted so many to there vans

What are the symptoms of a faulty EGR valve on the puma engine, would you notice any slight engine vibrations that weren't there before.

I think soo i have a vibration when on tickover that just came out of nowhere, asked my dealer and they said its the egr valve 
No idea why they dont fix it though
So u can fit those egr blanking plates and the problem would go away, but what about emissions test? Greetings Verdone |

The Symptoms ive seen are various.
From loss of power to idel problems and even hesistation/rocking motion at spacific rpm's. The emmisions test for MOT purposes are not affected. Regards Pete |

After having the Autologic tune in for a week or so I have had it removed. Was having some issues -
Delay in trottle response at about 2 1/2 thousand revs. Engine Sounding very coarse when starting from cold. Engine warning light came on Monday morning. The guy who installed it had a few attempts at sorting it out but no joy. Seams to be running fine now again but miss the extra power ! |

How long did it take for your Autologic map to cause you problems ?
Was it problematic as soon as it was programmed or did it develop after some driving time. Im just cusious to hear about all problems on this new model of car, im getting a bit info geeky over them lol Regards Pete |

I,m interested in one of these cat by-pass pipes !
Will it affect my warranty at all ? Also the centre box replacement does this make it noisy "blowy" out the back ? and does it also effect warranty ? DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN |

Hello ANY non LR modification could cause warranty issues unless your dealer knows about it and are happy for the modification to be installed. If warranty is of main concern then i advise you leave the car 100% standard, some choose to refit the car back to standard before any warranty work is done. There is no need to go to the dealers for general services you can have that done at a 3rd party garage and still keep your LR warranty if needed to claim on. Re the centre box, Yes they do sound blowy if fitted to the puma in my opinion. I will shortly have a centre box replacement pipe with a small cylncer in it to keep the blowy noise away. Thats a very honest reply ! i think the centre replacement type box would be a good idea ! Free it up a bit ? i would imagine there is a massive "s" in there with two restrictive "u" bends in just for good measure ! I try and give honesty as much as i can even tho im a business here to make money, i still think it pays of in the long run giving a honest service 
Yes they are very restrictive as standard and as you say very probabaly a couple of ubends to boot inside. Let me know if you are wanting a front pipe and we can arrange to get it fitted. You as you say can refit the stock item if needed at a later date. Regards Pete |
