Modifying my new 110 utility
On the 19th of June I picked up my new defender 110 utility. It was bought at Stratstone Land Rover Cupar, which is now Pentland Land Rover Cupar.
The workshop fitted my snorkle, dog guard and chequered plating. I also asked them to fit othere items that I would supply. First was jw speaker headlights
Second was remote jump start points

Third was LED beacons and switch

Fourth was to fit an auxiliary socket in the rear cargo area that could be powered off/on by the switch on the dash. It would be used to power a labcraft s14 work light with magnetic base.
Since getting it home I have had the wheels, front bumper and rear cross member painted green. This is not to everyone's taste but I think it's a suttle change.

I have waxoyl the underside and also fitted rear mud flap reinforcements.

Also changed my lights (side, tail and indicator) to LED and I have still not turned 100miles on the oddemeter yet.

I'd say no on that, I think the utility rear end looks cool.

Plus, if you've seen the video that shows how easy it is to punch those little windows in, you wouldn't do it either... Shocked

Thanks for the positive remarks, I am trying to keep it looking very close to standerd. It's got three roles to play, first family car. Second dog carrier. Third service truck for works vans.

Might also be worth considering getting the mud flap brackets themselves painted. Mine were as rusty as hell after 2 years Sad

The beacons were from "EVS" (emergency vehicle solutions) and are "mega flash tornado beacons". I choose them for their low profile.
I am very pleased how the colour coding turned out. Here it is in full glory.

Bumper good, wheels not bad but I'm not quite so sure about the rear x-member...

I'll need to start looking out for yours, I run a 1984 90SW with SS Southdown snorkel and faded Conniston green paint below a white roof & a white 2010 110 Utility with winch/bumper, Safari Snorkel, NAS towbar & a rear roof bar with side/tail light tell-tails & beacon/mag mount points.

The 110 you're bound to see, it's a homing pigeon for Pentland Cupar!

Another lucky man with two defender's

Do you ever see a white 110 hard top with side windows in Auchtermuchty? He's a good friend of mine.
