How about fitting the small rear windows that estates have? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

All looks great to me Optimists say the glass is half full..
Pessimists say the glass is half empty.. Engineers say the glass is twice the size it needs to be! |

I'd say no on that, I think the utility rear end looks cool. Plus, if you've seen the video that shows how easy it is to punch those little windows in, you wouldn't do it either... Just my 2c. Cheers Simon |

Thanks for the positive remarks, I am trying to keep it looking very close to standerd. It's got three roles to play, first family car. Second dog carrier. Third service truck for works vans.

What system did you go for with the remote jump start points?

Might also be worth considering getting the mud flap brackets themselves painted. Mine were as rusty as hell after 2 years

Wow, lovely looking Defender Loving the colour coding! Really suits it!
What LED beacons have you got? They look really neat. An engine to TDi for! "Land Rover- Proudly turning drivers into mechanics since 1948" |

Thank you
The beacons were from "EVS" (emergency vehicle solutions) and are "mega flash tornado beacons". I choose them for their low profile. I am very pleased how the colour coding turned out. Here it is in full glory. Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Bumper good, wheels not bad but I'm not quite so sure about the rear x-member...
I'll need to start looking out for yours, I run a 1984 90SW with SS Southdown snorkel and faded Conniston green paint below a white roof & a white 2010 110 Utility with winch/bumper, Safari Snorkel, NAS towbar & a rear roof bar with side/tail light tell-tails & beacon/mag mount points. The 110 you're bound to see, it's a homing pigeon for Pentland Cupar! |

Another lucky man with two defender's
Do you ever see a white 110 hard top with side windows in Auchtermuchty? He's a good friend of mine. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |
