Noticed a loud knocking noise coming from the dash are especially when on corrugated roads. I've traced the source to excessive play on the bonnet hinges. It looks as if the rubber / plastic insert arount the hinge shaft has moved or is worn. Any tips / ideas how to replace or modify?

Years ago on my old 90 I took the bonnet off(that cured it!) and when I put it back I had cut some thin inner tube into strips, used pushbike tubes, and inserted them between the different components to cushion the noise.
