Why you need one as the Puma has a 6mm welded in diff pan fitted already ?

Always need protection! Alot cheaper than sorting out the mess a rock has caused, spent all weekend avoiding large rocks in wales, 110 did really well, no water leaks from the front doors was a plus!.

Does anyone have advice on diff guards from the point of view of mud collection -> corrosion of the "tinny" diff casing by trapped mud?
Is there an "open" guard? i.e. made of bar elements rather than a mud-trapping plate? Need to fit 12 on 6 Mountain Rescue 110s Andy Carefully going everywhere |

Why should there be a problem?
Have had two fitted on the 110 overland vehicle for years without problems. Get your vehicle clean, waxoyl it. Then put protection on. Clean it occasionally and waxoyl every 2/3 years. Just be careful about some of the aftermarket diff guards. The ones we use and supply are made in Yorkshire from 8mm galvanised steel. There again another company will sell you 2 for £25. Must be made from far eastern tin foil HTH Brendan |
