New 90xs arrived today
Well the wife collected her spanking new 90 today in santorini black from Gordon Lamb chesterfield.

Firstly - it looks stunning !!!! What a colour !

It was a 450 mile round trip but there were no complaints of aches or pains after the navara so tick in the box !

Been out for a spin tonight and what a hoot ! Love it ! The complete opposite of my Evoque lol

And finally the dealer - nothing short of 10/10. Really took care of the wife, not in any way patronising and a cracking deal !!

Now to figure out loading a picture from the iPhone......grrrrr

Cheers Simon, yeah well pleased with it !!!! Very Happy

I scoured high and low to see what deals were on the table....these guys were several Łk's better than anyone else I could find. Guy to speak to is Andrew Harding if you drop over.

He has been uber professional and put together a package deal that even my local dealer that supplied my Evoque couldn't get anywhere near to.

Well worth the round trip Thumbs Up

You sound like the king of negotiation Bow down , can you give some pointers as to how hard you pushed them.

What did your package deal comprise of?

Thumbs Up Think I may well know the local dealership you're on about. Just for future reference there's what appears to be a decent independant recently started up off of Alder Hills before the Dorset Knob pub on the industrial estate should you be remotely interested.

Before landing with GL I'd spoken to 3 other LR dealers and there was a very poor offer on PX value and no movement on the list price. never mind accessories. Big Cry

We've put a bit of the value through the finance offer from LR which expired end of June so they were as keen as mustard to get the vehicle registered during the last week of June.

We had the GAP insurance thrown in for free, spare wheel cover for free, reduced cost front mats.

Basically I just kept saying no the deal wasn't what I was after and fair play to Andrew he just kept coming back slicing money off here and there, playing with the part ex value until I simply couldn't resist. Thought we'd reached stalemate when I didn't hear for a couple of days but he came back again and just kept bettering the deal.

All in all it was 2 weeks of haggling and we got there. Thumbs Up

They were closer to Salisbury..... Evil or Very Mad wont use them for anything again. Very poor attitude for a returning customer.

NOT the dealer I thought. Embarassed

'Stumbled' across the independant whilst in the course of my work visiting a different industrial unit. Prior to that I didn't know they existed. Popped over and had a mooch about and a chat and seems a good setup. I'll be giving them a punt on my next servicing. The guy worked for 14 years at Ferndown Porsche and then at Westovers, he finally took the plunge and has set up business on his own. I think he'll do ok....
