Whitham (spelling?) Specialist Vehicles always seem to have a healthy stock of relatively rust free ones in stock. They don't give them away though, but aren't totally overpriced.

Whilst we're on the subject spotted these at work the other day, now I'm not a Sankey spotter but with so many people talking about Marks and models I thought I'd post 'em.
Mankey Sankey! Wonder if they would miss one? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Mel,
Top one is an old narrow trac (same as what I have) and the two bottom ones are the new Penman 1ton trailers currently used (when they aren't breaking!) Munsterlandy, Sankeys nowerdays is a bit of a luck thing- every now and then something will come along (I was looking for over year for mine). There is a company in Wakefield that sells them (Star recovery) but he wants £300-350 and they need trailering away as the lights aren't guaranteed to work and wheels and tyres can be ropey. Other place to look is ebay, quite a few good ones come up on there. Glyn |

I bought mine from Star.
It's in pretty good nick. Lights didn't work (I still haven't managed to get the brake lights working but I just need to spend a day on it) but the chassis and tub and all sound. He gets someone locally to spray them up so they look really neat. I'm going to blast mine back to metal at some point and properly paint - some of the tub is just blistering over filler. Mark (of Star) is a nice bloke so I'd recommend him. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
