Checker Plate - Soda Wash or New?
Hi

I'm contemplating either renewing the checker/chequer plate and rather than going to that expense was wondering if anyone had any positive or negative experiences of soda washing and whether it was worthwhile or a false economy?

Scotland 1999 Defender 90 Td5 HT Caledonian Blue
Ive used a warm soda wash and a product called G101 with both the plate came up to a nice shine but for some reason it doesn't last and tarnishes quicker.
