Compared to my previous HSE the only things that this had that my current SE does not have is Rear Airconditioning, Heated Rear Seats, Adaptive Headlights, and Panoramic Roof. TBH I prefer not having the glass roof as I managed to break the one in my HSE and cost £££££'s to fix but luckily windscreen/glass cover on my insurance covered repair
When I bought my SE it still had a LR Assured Warranty and have had many things sorted that has fortunately not cost me anything, and now purchased a WD Extracare Warranty (Franchised Dealer Repair) with a good level of cover for the next 3 years. |

I have owned a couple of D3s. A 2005 HSE and a 2007 SE, as said above the only thing missing from the SE was the sunroofs but mine was a specced up model with harmon cardon stereo, upgrade satnav with TMC, heated rear seats etc and i had the 4x4 info turned on.
Personally i would go for an SE or HSE with as many toys as possible but i can understand the attraction of the base models too. Pete at BAS can sort the EGR on all models(inc 08 onwards) and i would highly recommend getting a remap too , my fuel economy increased by a couple of mpg after the remaps and was a lot nicer to drive . Both of mine had to have new batteries, and if the battery gets low it can throw up allsorts of strange faults and warning lights!. I also had to change the suspension compressor on my 07 but these are now modified and the original had done 6 years and 150000 miles so i don't suppose it did too bad? Another thing to check is cambelt. Landrover recommend 105000 miles so its worth making sure its been done as its quite an expensive job (anything from £400) they are a fantastic all rounder and the best towcar i have ever had Paul 2000 90 TD5,galv chassis, d2 axles ,Bas remap , alisport intercooler , d2 transfer box , side windows-more to come-much more!! *GONE* 2004 110 TD5 Double cab. *GONE* 2010 110 2.4 XS station wagon |
