Good idea and very visible. Problem I found with last van and various VW's is that they seem to attract damage. 1951 80" S1 2.0

Been thinking of doing a similar thing myself. Nothing too technical, possibly just a row of 5 or 6 amber LEDs on the outside edge of each mirror housing. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful

I was thinking something nice looking you know not like something stuck on there. Something that integrates into the original ideal I guess with mirror covers. No Guts, No Glory.

Sparkylee - Around 3/4" I'd say. Probably a bit deep.
Something like this I guess would do: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Button-12v-Amber...5aeecf176b I wish they were not round though if they were square I'd certainly like them! *EDIT* Go - Beyond (Matt) That was where I got the idea from but those covers are blank and don't have the lights included nor the holes. (In the description) No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 Last edited by custom90 on 25th Jun 2013 4:04pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I know, but I remembered the picture.
I've used those covers, they're great for the price and easy to colour code. There is plenty of room to fit lights, just find a design you like. Wiring is easy but time consuming if you want an invisible job |

Only wiring problem and annoyance I can think of is cable routing down the arm and in? I seem to remember D44 had a guide or something like that. (I think!) No Guts, No Glory.

Ah top man! Your own. I was wondering if the mirror arm was hollow too....
Can't be the hidden stealth mods.. How did you wire in to the indicators? Just tap in somewhere? No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

I haven't done the indicators, that was for heated mirrors but same concept.

Very nice but they've brought the cable out of the bottom so you'll see it ....

I just saw these and that "landreiziger" website is very well done. I see that they have their own nice workshop near Dordrecht, so sent them a mail today inquiring about availability of these heated mirrors with turn signal repeaters, and especially if they have a very good solution and experience for installing and wiring them into a Puma. Will keep posted here of what they will come back with. The mirrors itself look quite nicely done I think. Definitely interested. Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender.
