My TD5 Defender rejuvenation...
Defender went in to get painted today so thought it be time to stick up a few shots of the work I've done so far. Going for a overlanding trip to the Pyrenees at the end of July (cutting it fine), so work has been mostly been preparation for that and a few wee mods..

As it started reasonable TD5, needing a wee tidy:

Some sensible mods there for the pyrenees, you may need that bull bar we came across wild boar on some of the mountain tracks when we was there a few years ago! you will certainly need the new brakes as some of the descents are very long and steep. Did you change the brake fluid as there is a very real chance off boiling it if has absorbed moisture. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Back from the painters, very happy with how it turned out Bow down

Went with Santorini black, has a really nice red/purple tint in the sun Cool

Bit of a mix up and they built it back up, but easy enough to remove things again.

Cheers, Insulation is just the foil backed stuff from B&Q, about £7 a roll fitted with some spray adhesive...

My mates van, is needing a fair bit of work, but if paint turns out like my defender should be good. My other related project (see if anyone knows what it it...)
