That is one mint unit.
I mean geez, have a look at the winch area.....I reckon there's not a speck of dust there. Surely there's a "New" buyer looking for a substantial saving here? Cheers, Pickles. |

So have I got this completely wrong or are there no Defender buyers wanting a fully kitted out Defender
I really don't think the price is out considering the £8k plus extras (not including fitting costs) and would expect around £26000 without most of them for the base vehicle so what's up Winch has been used once to pull a car out of a snow drift, done some gentle and I mean gentle off road trips with uklandroverevents is all and in very good condition having been under sealed by dealer from new. Open to realistic offers but please no silly offers chaps Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. Stunning vehicle and I think the price is OK
However, in the current economical climate there just aren't the buyers out there that there were a few years ago. I had the same problem selling my 110 and that was £22K Eventually I ended up with two buyers, one from Eblag classified and one from Pistonheads, both cash buyers so no issues with loans etc. Good luck, I am sure that one person will be along, it is just a question of when. What is a realistic price?
I really like this 110 and would have bought it but for the fact I could get a new 2013 one for less. Yes it's missing the bits and Bobs but its still 18 months younger. My sale last week was a realisticly priced PH advert and 4 calls within 1 hour. 2011 with 15k for £23500. Seeing as trade are selling my year for £26k it was reasonable to expect a private sale to be less. I would strip the bits, sell it for £25-26k and recoup £1-2k in parts? Only my HO though. 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

Having just gone through the process of selling my last 110 (2009 XS USW), I think it's going to be a case of hanging on for a while to find the right buyer. I stripped most of the extras off my truck that I could and kept them / sold them off seperately as I was never going to get back what I paid for them and I think they put some buyers off.
In the end it went to a dealer for not a bad price. I think the problem at the top end of the price range is for not much money more and a bit of haggling you can have a brand new truck. (£29k +/-). If you're not in a rush I would just leave it advertised and hopefully someone who's wanting to spend a load of cash on extras will spot it and save themselves some cash |

I think anyone buying for £29k is using the NFU voucher as well as the discount from the dealer as the best I can find a new one is over £30500 without any bits at all let alone the factory order stuff like wheels & tyres, sun roof (that has no leaks), tow equipment and carpet.
Even the dealer fit stuff is a fortune these days but comes with warranty so worth having such as checker plate, RAI mats etc etc. Anyway, thanks for the kind words and hopefully someone will come along soon and get a really good deal Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. It is without doubt a lovely truck, but as others have said £30k for a secondhand Defender is too much, irrespective of the modifications or the amount you have spent on them.
I have spent well over £20k on modifications to my MY2009 90, it is in good condition (not showroom, as it is abused,) but I still wouldn't expect more than £20k for it. i think you need to be more realistic about the price, maybe think about splitting the expensive parts off of it to sell separately. Good luck, i hope you find a buyer soon. Mark |

In my experience, looking after your car doesn't seem to get the return you (or I ) would expect. I sometimes wonder if I should just use and abuse and don't bother with the pampering...!
But I cant, my OCD will kick in way before it allows anything like that cheers simon |

That's not entirely true otherwise the likes of Twisted would never sell any vehicles. If I were selling it, I would advertise on Ebay and Piston Heads with a higher price and be open to offers .... |

I agree...if you are selling to a dealer/ trader they rely on "book" price and rarely modify their offer based on how clean or well looked after the car is ...they do full prep anyway. The only time you will benefit from all your care and attention is if you sell to a fellow enthusiast or someone who knows you. I have sold my last 5 vehicles to work colleagues and am frequently asked to let them know when I'm selling my next, Clemmo Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....
