Hello, I don't check neither how many litres i put in my tank nor how many km i've done but my Puma was the same before and after I've fitted the RAI. Hope it will help you |

We can't tell the difference either. The OE snorkel is pretty aerodynamic, but the 110 is so UNaerodynamic that it makes little/no difference!

With the different types of Snorkel available the 'Safari Type' require you to carry out some drilling according to the Devon 4X4 description: Quote:
"An accurately marked template is also provided to ensure that the installation of the snorkel body to panel work is as precise as possible and eliminates any guess work where holes need to be drilled." Whilst the description for the Safari is comprehensive and clear the Mantec one isn't..... My question is thus...Does the Mantec snorkel also require you to drill the bodywork? Thanks. Higgers, Fekete,
Thanks guys, did you restore the surface finish on drilled panelwork? One would surmise a suitable paint or primer would suffice? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

It looks like the TD5 version is much smaller where it attaches to the wing, almost like it doesnt require drilling, except the A-pillar. Mark

Thanks Fekete,
Tuckerpop rivets would also do the trick! Will see what's supplied. Long story but death brings out the worse in people! Having been to four funerals in the preceding 12 months (including my mum's) have decided 'You're a long time dead and life is too short!' B0llox if there's something you really want and obtaining it doesn't cause any hardship just get it or regret it later in life. Will step down off my maudlin' soapbox now! Apologies! Thanks matey! Had appointment last Tuesday, poking and prodding done, pre-op swabs taken to make sure I haven't got MRSA just waiting for op date! Reckon with my clutch it may be a couple of weeks before I'll have the strength to push it after the op! Will be trying on a daily basis I reckon! Mantec dead easy to fix. You'll need a rivnut tool or the x-eng solution but that's about it.
I put tape on the wings to stop my drill bit wandering but that was about it. They're aluminum and I used ally rivnuts so no real need to treat. I added a bead of silicone around the gasket when fitting to try and get a bit tighter to the body (don't know whether it did anything). Just watch for the wires - especially on the A-post. Make sure you take the trim off the inside and move them first. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
