2004 Defender 110 Td5 CSW Java Black
Split charge and batteries
Right odd one this.

I need a 2nd battery to power our fridge when we go camping. Engel45

I want to be able to put the battery in my 110 & D3 depending which car we use

Local camping 110 = Fun
South of France D3 = 130kph / Aircon / Room for Arm with window up

Looking at a YellowTop but it's much mullah for 55aH nd not sure I need a battery I can turn upside down. (It fits D3 2nd batt tray though)

So what else is there?

Do I go for maximum aH for same dimensions as a YellowTop?

Also not sure on which split system ideally transferable or cheap enough to install in both.

Don't want a portable box as boot space is a premium with 2 kids / Labrador / tent / fridge / wife's suitcase

I have split charge in my 130 and D3 from here http://www.traxide.com.au/ Tim from Traxide is on D3 forum (Drivesafe) and very helpful.

I have gone for two Odyssey in my 130 as there was space but an Optima yellow in my D3 you are very limited in what battery you can fit due to available space.

These apparently fit D3 with some fettling - Exide Maxxima 900 DC Deep Cycle Battery

Any good reason not to buy this?

I'm assuming the more aH the better

obvious thing is what battery will fit both. i think your looking at an optima if you need it to fit both as there isnt much room in a defender battery tray.
