I'm currently running standard fit on my 90 Puma at the moment but recently had EBC Green stuff pads fitted and I'm very impressed. When it comes around to discs needing to be changed I personally will seriously be considering EBC discs.
perhaps something to consider at least?.. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I have been running EBC discs and Green stuff pads for over a year on my 110 DC with no problems.
A worthwhile upgrade in my view. |

Are these vented discs with upgraded callipers? Is there a marked improvement with EBC discs & pads compared to standard? |

Haven't used discs yet but there is on pads alone from my point of view. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I recommend Mintex. My local mechanic swears by them because they don't warp and they wear really well. In fact I only recently found out that they are OEM on Pumas (maybe all LR vehicles ?) Great value IMHO

Thanks for the advice. I ended up getting some Paddocks Performance (Proline?) solid drilled grooved discs, and some EBC Greenstuff pads

Let us know how you get on with them. As above standard discs still for me but I find I never really have to break hard any more nor with as much force. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Will do. But bear in mind mines a 300tdi so probably a different braking experience than a Puma?
Going to be getting the wheel bearings changed as well. |

Barring the effects of age, I don't think the brakes are significantly different, to be honest. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

My Puma has the OE & they are good enough to make the ABS kick in on some emergency stops. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Surely as a 300Tdi 110 yours has vented discs as standard on the front? Or are these solid discs you've bought special extra thick ones to take account for that? As standard thickness solid discs won't fit where vented ones ought to go.
Drilled/grooved discs are a waste of time if you go off-road, they just fill with mud and grit and wear your pads down even quicker. Be alright for a road-only vehicle, though I'm not sure I see the benefit on a Land Rover. |
