Side Lights and Ignition supply
As the subject suggest, where is the best place to get a side light supply from - for illuminated Carling switches - and an ignition supply to activate a relay that will control a set of USB sockets ( they have a green led when running so only want them on when the Defender is running) 2013 Aintree Green 110 Station Wagon SX

really depends on where your switches are, but i would pull off the centre section of the dash and piggyback onto the bulbs that light up the heater controls.

at the same time, upgrade the filament bulbs to leds Thumbs Up

as for an ignition supply, look at the (purple) heater fan wire (30amp I think) again, behind the centre dash

Rear of the fuse box under steering column, back of the stereo, off existing dash switches, there is nothing under the drivers seat that will help you unfortunately.
