if it's got a police sticker on there how thick would you have to be? Thick as thieves I suppose. When you say a 90 are we talking old / new? No Guts, No Glory.

Unnecessary quote removed
"X"-prefix registration, as it says in my original post! As far as I know the only purpose of a "Police Aware" sticker is to stop members of the public continually reporting it. I am not aware that it means "we are actively trying to reunite this vehicle with its owner", but I may be wrong. |

Oh yes, sorry I missed the X registration detail. I assume rather than actually bothering to as you say re-unite it with it's owner they are more than likely just leaving it there until it's reported missing. No Guts, No Glory.

I saw the said Landy there yesterday complete with driver. I did wonder if he had broken down but bonnet was shut and passenger door open. It now seems it had broken down (unusual for a Defender ) and it's awaiting recovery or roadside repairs. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful

Let us hope so, and that the owner can recover it speedily and intact!
If it was mine I woudl be living in it until help arrived! |

Went past at 1630 and it had gone. Let's hope it had just broken down and was recovered legitimately.

Shame he wasn't on the forum would have been nice to know if all worked out ok. Having had a 90 stolen its a real pain to sort out the aftermath.

I believe that I glimpsed the same Defender safe and sound on the forecourt of the local recovery operator this morning, so it looks like a happy ending this time.
