We have just taken in a very nice Defender 90 XS.
Full spec is as follows - Jan '13 90 XS Station Wagon 2.2 Havana Premium Paint Premium Seats Audio Upgrade Dual Finish Alloys Under Ride Protection Bar A Bar Black Chequer Plate Sills Black Chequer Plate Wing Tops front & Rear Lamp Gaurds Xenon Bulbs Rubber Mats Defender Wheel Cover Total price was over £34400 in January. Right here goes, grey purple, blue and any shade in between depends on sun, weather and distance from vehicle. When it does look brown it ranges from dull muddy brown to bronze

Love the idea of the colour it is hard to tell from that photo that it is not all black

for me, chequer plate means that the wing tops are damaged / scratched
(just my opinion) |

Im in that camp as well, brought some chequer plate 2 years ago and cant bring myself to fit it, find it interesting however how people seem to want to lean on or place objects on my unprotected and very shiney wings, when they wouldnt on other vehicles, Im keeping the plate for the day they get damaged DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |
