First service on 2.2 TDCI

Hi peeps

I know Mal will be along to point me in the right direction but can someone tell me what is done in the oil service on my MY12 90 as due to be done soon and interested in what I'm going to be paying for?

That's it but bend over and expect to take some punishment

I got mine done at LR dealers for £218.04 incl vat but I supplied the oil, filter and sump plug.

So in total about £275.00

You are of course well within your rights to do it yourself if you buy the correct oil and keep the receipts. But then you've got the issue of an Oil Service Light you can't get rid of? What about a decent independent?

Drove my first 2.2 at the weekend. Quite nice, quieter engine but didn't like the 'rev hang' and lack of engine braking. No glow plug lamp to wait for either!

My local dealer does a deal on two years servicing works out at £300 a year.

2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Santorini Black

I always have a ring round a few local LR dealers and their prices come tumbling down to prices near indy prices

C 2015 110 USW XS in Santorini with premium contrast leather seats in tan/black, black headlining and with Dual Finish alloys (in the garage, now on Wolf rims with Goodyear MT/Rs)

2012 '62' 2.2 X-Tech 110 USW now gone ...
1984 90 soft top with full roll cage, 200 tdi engine etc now sold
2012 USW XS 2.2 "FUU" now gone....

£435.00
£480.00 (thats discounted from £587.00 apparently).

Anyone got any good places in the Bucks area for a good first service? ===================================
