Aircon question
Hello all, on td5's with aircon is there an "ac" button on the dash itself or are all the controls including any on/off switch on the lower aircon dash section? Pics would be greatly appreciated too Thumbs Up

Cheers
Ray

Ahh right, I've seen the two by the drivers knee on a google search but I couldn't make out from any of the pics if there was a seperate switch on the centre dash bit to switch it on and off like on the puma

No, its a completely separate unit from the main heater. 2 rotary switches, one controls the fan, with 3 positions. The other controls the aircon pump, with setting 1 2 and 3.

It is a bit primitive and noisy, but works well. In the rain, I always keep the ac on position 1 even when using the heater to keep the steamed up windows at bay! 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Another aircon question
Has anyone figured out how to stop the aircon condenser leaking all over the passenger floor instead of the water going down the little pipe whihc drips over the chassis outrigger? I have tried to fill joints using mirror to see where leaks are, but so far no luck. Is there an easy solution?

There's curd in the drainage pipe. Just clear it out n it should be back to normal. The question is how to remove that pipe, easily. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At 125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Unfortunately there is no blockage, first thing that i checked. The pipe comes off easily.

It is leaking at the joint beteeen front and back platic case where the condenser pipes enter the plastic 'box'. If that makes any sense. Next step is use a dremmel to cut a playing card size hole in the front of the plastic case to have a look from the inside.......

We will see.
