Its been a while since I last posted, but someone commented on my Defender2.net stickers on my 90 at the weekend, and it reminded me to port on the forum.....
Anyway - It was the ten Tors on Dartmoor this weekend - 2,500 kids doing a 2 day hike of either 35, 45 or 55 miles. Its run by the Army, but with various civilian organisations helping out. I'm part of the Devon and Cornwall 4x4 Response team, and we were providing a lot of vehicles for a number of activities - My role was to help provide transport for the kids that have "Fallen Out" at the various Tors. We were stationed at Kitty Tor - Last year there were no fall outs.... this year we were busy and provided 14 trips back to the main road - about an 8 mile round trip! A few pictures here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a....amp;type=1 and a video of the track from bottom to top - Its an old tramway, but rather bumpy in places, and some very sharp looking stones!
