Hello,
Do you have a roof rack ? If not you will probably need one for the mounting. Hannibal are a good make from reports, you'll find a few here for a look: http://www.devon4x4.com/index.php?option=c...;Itemid=14 We had a fiamma on our Transit/camper thing and have a fiamma on our campervan now but never seen one on a defender. Great kit though. William |

I've got a Hannibal and while it is great for the no poles aspect, I would seriously consider the foxwing if I were buying again. Although this might be overkill.
I believe there was thread earlier talking about an ostrich wing, a version of the foxwing with no supports. |

I have a great awning and it cost me very little and can be used for lots of stuff:
DD 3x3 Tarp - £35 http://www.ddhammocks.com/product/ddtarp_olive_green_3x3 Some paracord, cheap crabs and pegs - £10 Robens Tarp Poles x 3 - £45 http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/robens-tarp...e-77110007 Use it with 2 poles to make a side awning 3 poles over back door to make a foxwing side and back style Use it away from the car completely! Just really versatile and adaptable. (also packs to small and poles slide under seats, collapsed they are about the same as the jack) Next time I put it up I'll take photos. |

We have the smaller Coleman event shelter for exactly that purpose and doubles as a communal area whilst camping.
Uv resistant too and you can buy clip on side panels for extra shelter. Takes about 10 mins to put up on your own and can be guyed down for extra stability if needed You should see the envy from the other teams when their pop up gazebos blow away and we're all good. Can't post a link at the mo as am a mobile techno cretin but search amazon Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Crabs = Carabiners
Sorry Cheap small ones work well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-x-D-Shape-colo...3cd01b953d Works well with my roof rack but saying that I've done the exact same set up with our Disco3 without a rack. Will take some photos then all will make sense |
