battery tray
So in the end I bought a Varta stop start AGM plus 105 ahr as a replacement. It's 4cm longer but the same width so I just need to grind off the lip on the one side of the existing abttery tray.

How do I get the stay/plate off. Seems it's bolted from the bottom. Anything special I need to know about removing it. I see there is a plastic protection thing on the bottom. How does that come off?

Perhaps take the opportunity to waxoyl etc. under the tray and under the vehicle at the same time - typical rust spots Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

damm.....only saw the post now on the waxoyl.

I took out the plate - bent the sides down (remember the new bat is now 4cm longer but the same width and height. Worked great!!!

I can recomend this battery: Varta Start-stop plus AGM 105 amph. It packs 15 amph more, fits great and 150 CCA more! Lets see how long it lasts.
