Hi all,
I'm new here, and have wanted to get a Defender since I was 16. I finally bought one last September (I'm now 28 ) after spending about 2 years researching them. I bought a Black TD5 90 estate wagon from 2004. It had some nice extras, a roof rack, light guards and a bull bar. Within a few days I had a list of what I wanted to add to it, and I set up a blog for everything related to my new baby! http://mylandy90.blogspot.ie/ Here's a list of roughly what I want to do, it will probably change as I already read about a few nice things on this site. Great site by the way guys and gals!! Add NoiseKiller Defender 90 kit (DONE) Egg Box to completely insulate and sound proof it. Add Wind Deflectors (DONE) Take off Light Guards and Bull bar, repair them, sand blast and powder coat. (DONE) Add Forward facing rear seats, in black. Upgrade front seats and add heated seats in black. Upgrade Radio, but one that doesn't stand out too much Increase HBP Upgrade Brakes (TD5's are weak!!) Upgrade to Defender SVX Headlight Surrounds and Grill Add Twin Snorkels with a High Volume Dual entry air box. Add Black checker plating all round Upgrade bonnet to Puma Bonnet Galvanise the Chasis Add Wolf front air Intakes Add NAS rear bumper Upgrade front bumper Upgrade to Exmoor Trim spare tire holder Upgrade to Clear LED Nas spec lights. Add spots front and back Add New Light guards Possibly add Masai Land Rover Defender Dark Tinted Panoramic Windows Take off current Headlining and Interior paneling and replace with La Salle Interior Trim Add a winch at some stage Add a 2" lift Upgrade Rims in size and also get black ones Here are some images from when I took her for a test drive, Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Last edited by hamtheman on 3rd May 2013 8:26am. Looks nice, but the first thing I would do is repaint the side steps! 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Weclome to the Forum!
nice looking 90 ! My Partner had their disco TD5 remaped by BAS and it has been a great improvement, just poped it in the post and when it came back and fitted it, it was so much better. so would recomend a remap for a TD5 ! Enjoy the project and I know that you'll be adding things that you have not even thought of yet!! Nice 90, just a word of warning about your list. Don't ever expect to get to the end of the list, there are always extras added to the end before you get there!
Another suggestion for your list: Twin screen washer jets Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum |
