Can anyone tell me is there public transport from the town to the show ground, bringing kids so the extra walking could cause trouble later on. . 2.2 2012 110 utility Orkney Grey
Also Range Rover Evoque - Surprising but I like it. Previous Freelander 2 SD4 HSE - Black 90 TD5 Discovery 3 Early Discovery. |

I'm not sure which of the Show Ground Gates the Land Rover show will be using - for smaller shows there is usually just 1 open.
If anyone has the showground map sent with their booking info keep this in mind! The 'bus station' shown to the north of the map is a temporary one, for the Great Yorkshire Show only, held in July. The gate adjacent is unlikely to be open as the route goes through a housing estate and again I think this route is only opened for the biggest shows. However, based on my previous experience it is most likely that the Gate used for the Spring Adventure will on Railway Road, off the A661 Wetherby Road. The actual gate is about 1/3 maybe 1/2 mile from the A661 junction, so there is a bit of a walk back up to there. The A661 is the main road between Wetherby and Harrogate so there is usually a bus once an hour either way (maybe less on Sundays). It is the 770 and 771 on the timetable. http://www.harrogatebus.co.uk/cmsUploads/r...2013-1.pdf http://www.harrogatebus.co.uk/cmsUploads/r...2013-2.pdf Network map - http://www.harrogatebus.co.uk/A4networkmap.pdf There are a couple of other routes that don't run right past the showground but get you close enough to walk the rest of the way (Hookstone Drive 56, 57, 58 routes)The closest stops are at the junction of Wetherby Road and Hookstone Drive. Hope that helps! I'm local (born there and lived in the area all my life) so any other questions just give us a shout! I am coming up for the show, just can not decide whether to camp or just day trip it. It would be nice to meet up with some other forum members and say hello.

As Steve says the show is fast approaching.
IF you know what large or particular item that you want from a particular trader then give them a ring or email with your requirements. I can not find a good mechanic to repair my broken crystal ball! So any information we can get about peoples requirements does help us to pack the goodies. I am sure that also applies to other traders as well! Brendan |
