Most recent purchase, a TW Steel, absolutely massive, the wristwatch equivalent of a LARGE PRINT novel.
A Suunto Core,
An '03 Omega Seamaster,
An '89 TAG Heuer,
A '55-ish square cased gold Buren Grand Prix, inherited from an uncle,
A late '27 Omega double signed "cushion" shaped steel, also inherited from same uncle, he inherited it from his dad.

I've also received a Smiths dashboard clock set into the mahogany centre part of a propeller boss with "RFC Bagdad 1917" carved into the wood. Great-grandad was with 30 Squadron in the Middle East during WW1. We have several photo's of him stood next to a wrecked aircraft (30 Sdrn had De Havilland SE9's I think although it's landing gear looks like that of a Bristol Fighter) and we believe this aircraft provided the timber for the clock mounting and several other hand-made souveniers like photo frames and cigarette boxes. We're not sure if the Smiths clock was from an aircraft though, there is a family story that suggests it may have come from a crashed Lagonda.
I'll try and post a photo. Does anyone have photo's of old dashboards with Smiths instruments? It hinges out of the brass case for winding.
edit, it has P-H- 46.320 on the face.

Ireland 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Stornoway Grey
In my time I've had a succession of Rotarys and Seikos but since moving to Ireland I just don't wear a watch. In fact the only time I've felt the need for a watch is when on holiday so I bought a Constant one for € 5 ! It tells the time and the date. What more do you want ? Laughing

Think I'll start a thread entitled 'best toilet brush' or 'socks' Yawn

joking as side tj101 know what you mean with doubling in value. take the yacht master bi-colour with mop face, brights and saphires. this would also appear to have gone up 50 - 100% over 9 years Shocked
