Some comments please
It looks like I am opting to buy a new Puma 110 crew cab HCPU. I actually have one on hold and have opted for this over a wagon - not for any great reason (I think the 5 seat wagon is the same price) but there are very few of the crew cab 110s in Oz - at least at the moment. I have just sold my disco 3 HSE Sad but have decided to back off from all the whistles and bells and prefer the manual for towing. (Boat, horse trailer and camper trailer). I will miss my HSE - the best car I have owned(also the dearest!) I do have concerns re relaibility (from lurking around here), but also need to get back into a warranty. My 2006 HSE has 113,000km up.
The crew cab has ABS and TC.
Can I move the spare wheel form inside the pick up to outside with the drop down rear tailgare?
Am I also heading in the right direction? Confused

Yes and defo yes!

I think someone on here has posted pics of that modification. You can fit a swing away wheel carrier, leave the drop down gate or fit a modified half door to swing with the carrier.

Hope this helps.

Indeed.

Sonic3d has fashioned a rather fetching crossmember-mounted carrier that'll work with your drop tailgate (I think). One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
+ New Defender 110 First Edition
