You do realise that the 4.4 is a seriously powerful engine!!

It will happily run at over 1200NM if you had a gearbox that would hold onto it Shocked

Which LR don't hence why it torque limited down to 750Nm.

This would be an absolute beast in a Defender - and a nice drive with the 8 speed auto.

I can sort out out an adaptor to run the LT230 transfer box - which makes life easier as keeps propshafts off set from centre (unlike the standard L322 transfer box).

If you want to in stall the engine, I can get it running..... Thumbs Up

I can also provide suitable brake and suspension modifications.

You have a pm.

Its amazing what you can do when you have 14 years of Powertrain development experience, a HNC, a Degree..... and actually do some proper development work and testing.... and not just rely on other people to do everything for you.

And you should really get your facts right as comments thrown in like that 'could' be construed and end up looking like slander and thus libel Whistle Perhaps not this case - as I can't help having friends.

If you can't do something that you are trained to do, then that's not my problem. But I've worked hard over the last few years, and due to an injection of funding - things are changing this year!

So far I have spent over £40,000 to do things properly (including software, rolling road time, my own engine hot test stand etc) excluding all of the other kit I have bought over the years.

And that's just the start.

Yet again, with a lot of posts on this forum I fail to see what this has to do with you, and has absolutely no relevance to this thread. Do companies suddenly have to name all of their suppliers and people they talk to? Perhaps you want a list of all of their friends?

There always seems to be some jealous little person that doesn't like the fact I can do something that others can't.... something that I have had lots of experience of, and been ultimately been trained to do.

A TDV8 in the Defender is my ultimate dream Defender, even with the ZF 6 spd auto it would be beautiful.

My 3.6 TDV8 in the RR has been remapped by JE, and it runs at 800nm, and about 313bhp. It is stunning to drive.

If you can do it, you should do it. 2016 D4 HSE
