James,
Many thanks for a great afternoon. Myself and Ian thoroughly enjoyed it - D4 was my favourite (after the 110 of course). Nice to meet Rob too and chat to fellow 50th owner Matt. Thanks again. Gavin Cheers, Superspoons |

What a brilliant day !
Thank you very much to James and HGG for organising and the LRE guys for their entertaining chat and knowledge. I hadn't actually driven any of the vehicles that were on offer (inc the Defender as it was a 2.2) and it was great to be able to compare them 'back to back' in that way. Big Steve and I had a right laugh and he is a very informative guy, obviously a much better tuner than the Essex bloke It was really nice to catch up with some members that I have met before and some new ones Like Superspoons, my favorite after the Defender was also the Disco 4. Congratulations James, the day was a winner |

Many thanks to James for organising such a comprehensive day and, of course, good to meet up with several other Defender2 members.
As for the different current Land Rover models I had only ever driven the Evoque at a pre-launch event so it was something of revelation. The Disco 4 seemed the best all rounder to me (especially if you've got a large brood), and the Range Rover was, of course, just something else altogether. I was amazed to see Alpine kit, including a sub, as an option in the Defender 110 ... there's posh! The Freelander was also way more capable than I had expected, and the best thing about the RR Sport was the discounts on offer - but we all know why that is. Cheers Rob |

Many thanks to Pegleg (Greg) from Freel2 and also Martin from HGG for taking photographs on the day.
So as not to upset Martin (forum Martin as opposed to HGG Martin) by using up all of his virtual realestate, I have selected a few from both Greg and Martin. Many thanks for all your efforts.
