TD4 is a great engine.
1.8 is ok but has issues V6 is all rev no go (assuming it works) I have a soft spot for my old TD4 manual demo(ish) (RE06CRU), it took a beating on and off road and never let me down. Was a sad day when that went. We run a TD4 auto as a spare car on the farm. Bullet proof and a great little vehicle. I think we currently have 6 TD4 commercials as run arounds at work (tastefully sign written ) That's just my personal experience - you'll get differing opinions from people who have never driven them! |

TD4 is great. I, too, have a soft spot for my old one. A very capable all-purpose car.

Don't buy a 1.8 petrol it WILL break. Even if it broke before and was fixed, it will break again (and again....) Td4 is the only way to go.

Had an FL1 TD4 auto for nearly 3 1/2 years and it is great, no problems at all. Family membe ris on his 3rd FL1 and has had no problems apart from a couple of wear and tear items
With the right tyre they are excellent in snow BM52 |
