bicycle brake cable....
was just out side giving the chassis a polish and noticed what appeared to be a bicycle brake cable going from front to back under front passenger seat. kind of looked like it was just hanging there.?

not really noticed it before and cos it was getting dark (oh and freezing my lock nuts off) couldn't be bothered to havn around and find out what it was but suspect if should be secured out of the way somewhere?

The heater / vent system uses these type of cables to open and shut various parts of the fan system. On the dash there is the re-circulating and fan speed controls and so on... Most of these use the "bicycle" braided cable to move / adjust various components. I would imagine that is what it is to do with. I know as I had one break and I had to replace it.
Try these controls and see if it moves.

doesn't everyone polish their chassis?

so gonna pull my finger out and go have a look shortly and hopefully I'll be able to tell you what it is. not sure where I've seen it but I think there's a plastic retaining clip thats gone missing since visiting the stealers !

will up date later.

no bikes / tandems wiped out recently. don't think its a breakther. don't think its a speado either as I think thats on the o/s.
