D90 abs/tc problems.
Hi all,

I'm a first time poster on this forum, From Australia.

I'm having trouble with the traction control on my td5 d90. I started a thread on the Australian AULRO forum but I have not solved the problem so I thought i better go the mother country.

The problem is the Orange TC light comes on the dash when the wheels slip/spin how ever there is no noise or action from the abs modulator.

The ABS works a per normal and the nanocom shows no faults.

I have just found that the vechile has been fitted with a different ecu NNN250500 which i believe is for disco.

Could this be the problem.

Its running a defender map and the temp gauge reads correct.

any help would be fantastic

ben.....

The light comes on ours when the wheels spin, I assumed its normal.
I noticed it couple months ago when we had the snow.

I was wondering how the TC is supposed to work. Does it apply braking or cut power from the engine?
Sorry I can't help with the original problem.Cheers, John 2.2 90 XS

It's normal for the light to come on when a wheel spins, as far as the modulator working, how do you know it isn't? When mine has come on there is nothing to feel just the light coming on and more traction. Thumbs Up

To test it, park with one side on wet grass and the other side on tarmac.
Accelerate quickly.
You'll soon see if it's working or not.
