My dealer tells me today that he's just back from head office and they are confirming that new model will be released second half 2015 . The current 2.2 will not change and be available on a March reg 15 plate . Gone will be all the regular LR features like sharp corners and hard bumpers and open rivets and bolts and the like . Hmmmmmm ! Not something I look forward to . But perhaps you guys know more than me and that's all just scotch mist ?

Like it or not you'll hear about it from a mag like autocar long before a dealer knows jack.. Not being negative just the fact that the motoring press get more reliable and early data out of LR than any dealer out there.

Plus dont the Defender contract run out in 2017 now which means that the original shape will still be the same aswell but perhaps they will bring a DC100 out but along side a defender CSK Automotive

I thought that date matched the previously released model timeline? So what's changed - just surprised that same 2.2 engine will be kept.

There are so many 'experts' and those with an 'inside track' within the dealer network!!

Interesting to hear Gerry McGovern, Design Director for Land Rover, talking about the new RRS being revolution rather than evolution. Maybe an indication of where they will be taking the new Defender?
