England 2002 Defender 110 Td5 SW Coniston Green
It's sad how circumstances have changed in our culture nowadays. Back in the 1980's when we had a few years on the trot with decent amounts of snowfall I was working on various farms in my local area and I'd often be sent out snow clearing with farm kit be it a big loading shovel, JCB 3CX to a tractor mounted snow plough. We were allowed to remove any vehicles that hampered our path, trying to cause minimal damage of course Whistle . My most memorable occasion was when a local plod had dumped his patrol car nose first into a ditch and he directed me to shove it out of the way Mr. Green
The idea behind us being told to just open the roads no matter what was that emergency vehicle access was far more important than any twonk that left his vehicle in the way Thumbs Up

Thought I recognised that horse. It's one my daughter rides sometimes, belongs to Leanne.
It's a small world.

As for the snow the road in question remains closed today so it is not just me that suffers but all the commuters who use it As a rat run have all had to go the long way round so god knows how much their bosses and companies have lost due to them being late to work.

Which road is it? Nothing listed as closed in Harrogate area on BBC or Stray FM travel news , although yesterday evening it did say Leathley to Beckwithshaw closed. My bro in law farms at Beckwithshaw and keeping fingers crossed they are OK with the lambing and not lost any...

As for the council in our area - as I understand in April last year the responsibility for gritting and ploughing passed from Borough Council to the County Council. Can't decide if it was a better or worse service this year.

That's the one. One drift less than a hundred feet long. With possibly 3 or 4 cars in it somewhere. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

We have reasonably good in the UK, one of the problems is the habit of many people who constantly put the place down. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

[Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc]
